Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC) hosted students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), New Era University College and Southern University College recently, as part of the third CUHK-Malaysian Student Cultural Exchange Programme held from May 27 to June 9, 2018.

CUHK-Malaysian Student Cultural Exchange: HCUC students get an opportunity to be part of international student cultural exchange programmes.
The 36 students who were accompanied by their lecturers attended workshops conducted by HCUC’s School of Communication and Media as well as School of Chinese Studies academies.
HCUC lecturer, Lam Yat Kuan, said the activities were specifically planned for the participants, not only to showcase the transformation of HCUC, but also the richness of Penang’s culture, majority of whom have never visited the island before.

“Although the students have a packed daily schedule since a week ago, they are unbelievably active throughout the sessions.
“It’s good to see that they showed interest in many activities today, especially the workshops where they were taught several new skills by HCUC lecturers, such as how to create a short video commercial and news gathering process,” she said, adding that the students were also brought to some tourist attractions such as Batu Ferringhi, Penang Peranakan Mansion and George Town Heritage enclave.
Throughout the 14-day trip beginning from Hong Kong, to Penang, Kuala Lumpur and finally to Johor Bahru, they visited a number of famous tourist attractions and also experienced the culture and history of the two countries.
