After a three-year hiatus, the HCUC News Media Camp was successfully held again, drawing in 66 participants from Penang, Kedah, and Ipoh.
The HCUC News’ annual Media Camp, which had been put on hold for the previous three years due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, was back this year to rave reviews.
This year’s Media Camp, which was held from April 7 to April 9, had “The Lime Light” as its theme. The primary goal of the camp was to equip participants with the knowledge and skills of film production and to have them finish a 2 to 3-minute short film on the subject of fraud prevention in 3 days.
The campers’ work was shown to family and friends on April 9 at a mini-screening. Following the judging, Team Slider’s – “Ad?” won both the Best Short Film and Most Popular Short Film prizes. The work will then be submitted to the “Sun Strong Entertainment Competition.”
The campers who were interviewed claimed that this media camp helped them gain a deeper understanding of media production and that they were very interested in it.
