Han Chiang University College of Communication’s virtual singing competition showcased student talents with seven student performances to boot. Organised by students currently taking the General Studies course of Self Development, the competition, titled ‘Rising Star of Han Chiang University College’ took place on 31st January live on Facebook.
“Thank you. I am happy to have won this competition. Firstly, I would like to thank the organizer for organizing this singing competition. Then, I would like to thank the judges for their likes and comments. I will continue to strive to be a better singer. I would also like to commend my fellow competitors for their wonderful talent,” said Ng Sue Ean, the champion of the competition.
Wong Oi Wen, who emerged as runner-up, also thanked the judges for their feedback on her performance as she found their constructive criticism to be invaluable.
Teh Cai Fang, second runner-up, expressed her gratitude to her family and her vocal coach.
“I would like to thank my family who have supported me in my learning journey since I turned 18, and I would also like to thank my teacher Sheng Yi Ling. I am proud of myself for my hard work, and I hope that I can grow in confidence,” said Cai Fang.
Voon Kai Loon won the Popularity Prize, collecting a total of 263 likes.
The champion of the competition won a cash prize of RM200, the First Runner-Up, RM100, the Second Runner-Up, RM50, and the Most Popular, RM100.
