PENANG: The School of Business Management was thrilled to announce the launch of the BM208 Data Analytics course, an advanced course tailored to equip students with essential skills in generative AI and its practical applications in enhancing productivity. This pioneering course reflects the school’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements in data analytics and artificial intelligence.

The BM208 Data Analytics was designed to provide students with a deep understanding of generative AI models, their functionality, and their transformative impact on various industries. The course focuses on practical applications, enabling students to turn raw data into meaningful insights, craft compelling presentations, and create innovative images using the latest generative AI tools.

As part of the curriculum, students participated in specialized LinkedIn Learning training programs such as Career Essentials in Generative AI, and Build Your Generative AI Productivity Skills.

These modules were crucial for introducing students to the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence, particularly generative AI, and its role in boosting productivity. The training which covered prompt engineering, where students learned to design effective prompts to harness the power of generative AI, and generative AI in productivity software, where students demonstrated how to use generative AI within productivity tools to streamline workflows and enhance output quality.

Similarly, Leow Jun Ming who is also a HCUC business student, provided his perspective on acquiring AI skills. “Understanding generative AI and its applications has opened up new avenues for me. The ability to create compelling presentations and generate creative content using AI tools is invaluable. This course has truly enhanced my technical skill set.”
