17 students of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Multimedia from School of Applied Creative Arts and Design organise the graduate exhibition titled The Blooming.
The event featured the final year projects from the students, ranging from design campaigns, website development and design, mobile application, augmented reality and interactive media projects.
The objective of the event was to demonstrate to the general public the effort and commitment that the students made throughout their last year of study, during which they developed their professional practice, abilities and experience.
The idea of the exhibition theme was inspired by the seed. The “Bloom” symbolizes that a seed of creativity has experienced years of growth, and it is finally time to bloom. This was the culmination of experiences throughout the students’ university life. This blooming also parallels the students showing their works, ideas and creativity to the public, similar to how a flower begins to bloom.
Mr Benjamin, the School of Applied Creative Arts and Design lecturer, said that the exhibition was not only the students’ final year project that exposed the students to event management and teamwork, it was also to showcase the students’ portfolio to industry professionals and give them an opportunity to connect with prospective employers.
“Good job and always remember to never give up and learn from your mistakes. I hope that you will all learn and apply this knowledge to better and improve yourselves and to be future pioneers and leaders of the creative industry,” Mr Benjamin said to the students.
The exhibition was held in COEX@Kilang Besi from 1 to 2 April.
