Han Chiang College’s former broadcasting students hope to help their juniors produce better films and win awards as they donate RM6,760 worth of videography equipment to the College.
Having toiled for months to produce their video assignments and raised money through ticket sales and sponsorships, the students understand the challenges faced, and hope to give back to the College and the present broadcasting students.
Student representative Charmaine Chee said the former students are grateful to the lecturers and the College for igniting and driving their passion and that they have used the miscellaneous funds to buy videography equipment to help upcoming final year students.
“We created such great memories while working on our projects and we want the juniors to be able to create even more great memories,” Chee said adding they feel proud to be able to be part of the future successes of the broadcast industry.
The students handed over 4 LED lumilite studio lights, 2 video ball head, 2 lavelier microphone, 2 LED lumipanel light, 1 portable speaker and 2 clapper boards.
Thanking the students, acting principal Dr Beh Kok Hooi also praised them for their impressive film business plans which led to huge profits.
“This is indeed a momentous occasion and I hope that this will become a tradition within Han Chiang, where students choose to contribute to the institution,” Beh said.
He also commended the students for turning into such respectable characters.
