Welcome to the Student Ambassadors’ Blog!

All 10 students with diverse yet unique characteristics were selected early this year to provide their services to the College.  

Here’s introducing the second batch of Han Chiang College student ambassadors. While we are excited to embark on this new journey, we also see this as an opportunity for us to help our fellow Hanchiangers and a step forward in acquiring new skills.

One may ask, what is the role and job scope of being a student ambassador? Besides being a good role model and act as a middle person between students and the College, our job is to also help out with College events and activities.

Although we are only one-month old, we would like to think that we have already made a small difference.

We started off with zero funds. But we did not let that stop us from carrying out interesting activities. We contributed some money out of our own pockets and sold drinks during the College Open Days. We made an insignificant amount of profits, and yet, this little money-making activity has proven that we are eager to take on new challenges, no matter how small. So yes, we may be the College’s ambassadors, but we will not think twice about doing the smallest tasks. We believe in taking care of the little things to achieve big.   

We hope that by working together each time there is an event, we would be able to showcase to the community the talents that we have in this College. Our different schools have such outstanding students who have won numerous awards, and we think our roles will enable us to share these success stories with visitors, parents and secondary school students.

To top it off, we are also ready to speak to secondary school students or visitors to the College who may be confused about study options or the direction to take. As students ourselves, we can share our experiences and provide peer-to-peer advice.

Our group members consist of outgoing, zealous and even “over-friendly” individuals… at least that is how we describe ourselves! The 10 of us are no different from you, as we are ordinary students too who can relate to problems and issues that you face. That is, if you wouldn’t mind sharing your thoughts with us!

One thing that best describes all of us – is our passion. We are passion-driven people, who will commit all our efforts for every single thing that we do. It is with this purpose that we believe in giving the best of what we have!

We aspire to live up to our billing as ambassadors of this College, and hopefully meet all your requirements! We aim to be a dynamic, self-driven and intrinsic-motivated team.

And rest assured, we are an approachable bunch and will be there for every Han Chiang College student who needs a helping hand. Feel free to catch up with us the next time you see us in or outside of campus.
