Han Chiang College (HCC) students will have the opportunity to learn the Korean language and culture as part of a summer cultural student programme to Korea.

HCC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS) to facilitate the exchange of students in an effort to expose them to Korean culture.

All in, the cost is RM4,300 and the programme lasts for 1-3 weeks.

On the short term student exchange programme, students can spend one semester or 16 weeks in BUFS for the March or September intakes.

Students on this programme will be able to transfer credits and only need to pay for their accommodation, meals and air ticket.

BUFS International Affairs General Manager Park Sang-Hyun said foreign students need to have an English language qualification to enrol on these programmes.  

HCC Principal Dr Beh Kok Hooi said there are plans to looks into further collaboration for twinning programmes which will enable HCC students to further their studies in Korea.

BUFS was established in 1983 and currently offers 22 foreign languages to students at its new eco-friendly campus.
