Penang youths who desire to brush up their entrepreneurial and innovative skills are welcomed to send in their application for a workshop designed to educate the interested participants in developing a complete and comprehensive business plan report.
Committed to empowering the Penang youths with entrepreneurship skills, the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) 2021 is initiated by the Penang state government through Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC). It is jointly organised by Malay Businessmen and Industrialists Association of Malaysia, Penang (PERDASAMA), Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneur Section (PCCC YES) and Malaysian Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Penang (MICCI).
Interested upcoming entrepreneurs between the ages of 17 to 35 years old who are residing, studying or working in Penang should register by 31st May 2021. An additional initiative dubbed the Incubator Programme will be assisting the young innovators in advancing their ambition of becoming a successful businessperson.
A team consisting of two to five members is a prerequisite to participate in YEC 2021. And the participants are required to submit their business plan report online by 31st July 2021 with the QR code available in the handbook. Per team’s registration fee is set at RM100 which includes goodie bags, certificates, access to all workshops and the Incubator Programme (if interested).
Successful applicants have the opportunity of winning cash prizes ranging from RM 1,000.00 to RM 15,000.00 – depending on the quality of their submitted business plan report.
