Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is offering two full scholarships to Han Chiang College (HCC) students to pursue their degrees.
The scholarships are worth RM760,000 and will cover four years of the students’ full tuition fees, accommodation and basic living expenses.
Known as the Hong Kong Baptist University Scholarship Nomination Scheme for Outstanding International Students by High School Principals, outstanding students who excel in both academic and non-academic areas will be nominated by Han Chiang College.
Acting Principal Dr Beh Kok Hooi said the College is honoured to work with HKBU and that the collaboration proves that Han Chiang’s top students have successfully gained recognition on an international level.
“HKBU is a prestigious university that offers strong industry-oriented syllabus and with HCC’s plans to become a university college, we hope to work together and provide dual degree programmes.
“We hope to produce better graduates in our commitment in providing good quality education that encompasses international borders,” Beh said adding that students can enjoy HKBU’s expertise in research and development.
HKBU International Programme Manager Sandy Lee said the university also sends students on exchange programmes to partner universities.
“We partner with 300 universities around the world and every year, we send 400 students to these partner universities under the student exchange plan.
“We receive 200 students from other universities on the programme and we might look into the possibility of working with Han Chiang College on this,” Lee said.
