8 January: Han Chiang University College of Communication welcomes its January 2018 intake students to the university college orientation programme.
The students, who are from the School of Communication, School of Applied Creative Arts & Design, School of Business Management and School of Chinese Studies will embark on their new educational journey in the next two and a half years.
Deputy Vice Chancellor of Han Chiang University College of Communication, Ms Jenny Khoo congratulated the students for successfully securing their admission into the university college.
“We are honoured that you have chosen Han Chiang University College to embark on your academic journey and we assure you that it will be an interesting journey in your quest for knowledge as we are now a university college and not just a college,” she said.
She also added that students are now able to continue their degree studies if they wish to following the introduction of new homegrown degrees at Han Chiang University College of Communication soon.
The new homegrown degrees are Bachelor of Communication (Advertising) (Hons), Bachelor of Communication (New Media) (Hons), Bachelor of Communication (Media Production) (Hons), Bachelor of Public Relations and Event Management (Hons), Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Translation & Interpretation, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Creative Multimedia Design and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Chinese Studies.
Mok Hua Mei, 19 from Sibu, Sarawak came down to Penang to continue her diploma studies in Multimedia Communication Design. She stated that colleges in her hometown do no provide any multimedia courses, so she has chosen Han Chiang University College as her best option.
“I just got to know about Han Chiang University College recently and I did some online research to obtain more information about the courses offered,” said Mok. Most of the newly enrolled students hope that the programme they have chosen will be a great support towards their success in the future to achieve their ultimate goals.
