Han Chiang University College of Communication’s (HCUC) final year Public Relations and Advertising students will be organising A BLESSED, an awareness campaign on parental abandonment this Sunday at Occupy Beach Street.
A BLESSED is the acronym for Awareness, Belief, Love, Engagement, Serving, Sharing, Experience and Difference, which aims to educate the public on this social phenomenon that is happening widely in today’s society.
The carnival-based event, which will be held from 7am till 12pm, will feature various activities such as performances, games, food and drinks booths, as well as colouring contest.
Besides this, the public can view an art exhibition called Homing Pigeon X Exhibition. Visitors can also write a letter to their beloved family, which will be delivered to the recipients without additional charges.
All purchases at the carnival including food and games will adopt a coupon system.
The public can purchase a RM30 coupon booklet on-site, where all proceeds will be channelled to Charis Home.
All profits gained from this carnival will be donated to Charis Home.
