GEORGETOWN, 22 JAN — Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC) and Phor Tay Independent High School have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Phor Tay Independent High School’s headmaster, Mr. Ch’ng Ee Thiam mentioned that few of the high school’s staff are graduates of HCUC and he hopes that the students of Phor Tay Independent High School will be given the opportunity to further their studies at HCUC through this agreement.
Associate Professor Dr. Beh Kok Hooi expressed that the collaboration between HCUC and Phor Tay Independent High School will provide more opportunities for students from both schools.
“With the signing of the cooperation agreement, HCUC will bring good news to the staff and students of Phor Tay Independent High School, including offering discounts and principal-recommended scholarships for those pursuing academic courses at HCUC.
“Additionally, we can jointly organize lectures, short-term training courses, seminars, and other activities to promote cooperation in the fields of education, internships, and career development,” he added.
Associate Professor Dr. Beh also believes that with the joint efforts of both parties, this collaboration is sure to yield fruitful results, contributing to the development of our country’s education and talent cultivation endeavors.
Additionally, the signing of the MoU also ensures both parties, using Chinese education as a bond, are jointly dedicated to the development of Chinese language education, aiming to cultivate more outstanding talents. This includes employment opportunities to work at Phor Tay Independent High School.
