The China Consulate-General in Penang has donated books worth RM70,000 to the China Research Centre of Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC).
The books covering topics on Chinese culture, philosophy, art and history would help students and scholars in their studies on research, literature and information.
The books were obtained from Xin Zhi Bookstore in Kuala Lumpur and delivered to HCUC recently. Present to receive the books were Dr Yeoh Kim Chuan, HCUC Acting Dean, School of Chinese Studies and Dr Yang Jie from International Office. Also present at the ceremony were HCUC’s Vice Chancellor, Dr Beh Kok Hooi and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr Ooi Bee Peng.
Dr Yeoh said the Consulate-General’s kind gesture and generosity would greatly help to promote the development of education between China and Malaysia.
He thanked the Consulate-General for the book donation and Xin Zhi Bookstore for sending the books to Penang.
