Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC) announced that auditions are open for its annual Host Idol Search Contest.
In its fourth year running, the Host Idol Search Contest focused on seeking talents among secondary school students from Form 3 to Form 6 in the fields of news, television and social media broadcasting.
With prizes and scholarships worth up to RM27,000 to be won, the contest provides a platform for the students to improve their communication skills and instil confidence and charisma when presenting and talking in public.
They will also be equipped and empowered with the necessary knowledge and skills by experienced and professional speakers and mentors.
Walk-in auditions for the contest will be held in HCUC from 29th March to 31st March 2019, 9am to 5pm.
Students who are interested may also opt for online auditions. More information will be provided in the Host Idol official Facebook page.
Shortlisted contestants will then go through a series of workshops and assignments in which their works will be evaluated by renowned media personalities such as Ms Tan Lay Teng, Mr Ivan Toh and Mr Owen Yap.
Finalists stand a chance to compete in the grand finale which will be held in Gurney Plaza on 13th July 2019.
