PENANG – Against the vibrant backdrop of Jetty 35, Han Chiang University’s Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Multimedia students showcased their graduation work in a spectacular exhibition titled “PALETTA” on 9 and 10 November 2024.
The event, themed around stars and the universe, were symbols of diversity where each student exhibited their individuality and was represented by a unique planet. Together, they created a cohesive, yet wonderfully diverse, experience that highlighted the individuality of each student within the exhibition.
The first day of the event kicked off in the morning with a simple opening ceremony that welcomed lecturers, students and friends.
Visitors were given sheets with blank spaces for stickers, which they could collect from each booth. Lanyards were also sold, with three different designs that celebrate special themes. It included Malaysian Food, Sign Language and Malaysian animals.
Nine distinct booths filled the exhibition space, each modeled after a planet with its own unique color palette and theme. One booth in particular, engaged visitors with an interactive game centered on nutrition and budgeting, drawing significant attention from the crowd.
The exhibition continued on the second day with lecturers returning to supervise the students’ work. This added structure helped ensure the exhibition ran smoothly while allowing students the freedom to connect with their audiences.
“Organising this graduation showcase taught me a lot about leading and managing a successful event. It might seem straightforward from the outside, but there were a few internal challenges that needed resolving, which I feel really helped me grow as a leader,” said Palleta President Eugene Yip Tic Chun.
His statement captured the heart of the project where the real achievement lay in the teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience that brought it all together.
The creativity, passion, and perseverance of the HCUC students were on full display during the two day exhibition, making the exhibition a success that exemplified a shared vision brought to life.
