Congratulations to Mr Chong Boon Yee and his documentary titled ‘Taste of Memory’  on winning the Best TV Documentary award during the Anugerah Seri Angkasa 2024 hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of Communications.

Mr Chong, who is the founder of Earth Picture Production, is also an esteemed alumnus here in Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC), and the institution could not be prouder of his achievements and his contributions to society by showing the differences in culture through the lens of food.

The Taste of Memory documentary not only focused on the aspects of food, but also emphasised greatly on the importance of preserving the fading food cultures as the dishes carry not only historic stories but also cultural significance within the Malaysian community.

In his Facebook post, he thanked his team for their passions and professionalism by bringing the project to life. Additionally, he also thanked the special guests of the documentary for sharing their life experiences with them and making the documentary series such a stupendous success.

“Thank you, everyone. Let’s continue to share and cherish these flavors and memories together,” said Mr Chong.
