Han Chiang College (HCC) welcomed its new cohort of April intake students today.
Principal Dr Beh Kok Hooi addressed the students during the orientation and welcomed them to their new home.
“For at least the next two to three years, Han Chiang College will be your home, and it is in this home that I hope you will flourish to become what you want to be,” Beh said after congratulating students on making the decision to enter college, a privilege that many take for granted.
He said students will be given opportunities to study, learn and grow as the College is set on achieving its university college status next year, giving students the option of pursuing HCC’s homegrown degree programmes.
He added that students who perform well will be able to apply for scholarships to study in Hong Kong, under the RM760,000 scholarships provided by Hong Kong Baptist University.
The students will be treated to a welcoming party in April to help them settle into their new college life.
